Safeguarding Policy
Nash Mills Village Hall Management Committee recognises the importance of safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Where the Management Committee organises or delivers its own activities or events, it accepts responsibility for ensuring appropriate safeguarding arrangements are in place.
For private hires, regular activities and public events not organised by the Management Committee, responsibility for safeguarding rests with each organisation, group or individual hiring the hall. All hirers must ensure that they have appropriate safeguarding policies and procedures in place and that, where applicable, suitable DBS checks are carried out for staff and volunteers.
The Management Committee does not accept responsibility for the safeguarding arrangements of hiring organisations but will take appropriate action should any safeguarding concerns be brought to its attention.
